Parent- Did either parent study at university( answer either yes or no) , this is continuous or discrete?

Mum didnt, dad started doing medicine, went to uni and had a gap year and vouila...he had me. (Well he didn't but you know how it is lol). I'm at sixth form doing a-levels hopefully go on to uni to do a medicine course :)
