I am selling some property at one time we had a federal tx lien against us put this has been satisfied years a?

ago i went to to the courthouse and the release has never been filed by the irs I have a copy of the release but they refuse to file this and I have had no cooperation with the irs on refile in they stated that theyshow that it has already been done. what can i do
