How can you drive a Manual, "stick shift car" in the San francisco??

My prior car was a stick car and i loved it!! I love feeling the power and changing gears! I moved to san francisco from Orlando 5 months ago and purchased a new car but automatic. I was bummed becux I wanted a stick car but going through those steep hills and ridiculous streets and thinking how anyone in San Fran can put up with these hills on stick shift car???
