Completely uncontested divorce with kids, how does this work?

My wife and I have been separated for a little over year now, and we both agree it is time for the divorce. We do not want to fight over anything, we already split ets/debts and we jointly share the kids. Neither of us want to fork out any money for a lawyer and are sort of unsure how to do this without any crazy fees. Can we just file and go in for ourselves, say we just want the divorce and we do not need the court to settle anything else on our own, or do they make you go through the whole BS of who has who how much and what ets and debts do you have etc. Any help is greatly appreciated. State we live in is MD if that helps, thanks!
